How about a good old-fashioned sledding expedition?

As of this winter season, Radstadt shows off some of her most beautiful curves: with the new "Kemahdhöhe" sledding hill, Radstadt has added a new and exciting highlight to the region.
The 6 km-long floodlit hill is one of the most exciting sledding experiences you could imagine. It is, incidentally, also the longest floodlit sledding hill in the Salzburg Sports World and the only one where you get "hoisted" up to the top: toboggans are available for rent at the base terminus of the 8-passenger Königslehen lift in Radstadt. After that, it's just a matter of "grabbing a lift" to the start of the run at an elevation of 1,557 m above sea level, then let the fun begin on this modern sledding run, five to six metres in width and with great lighting conditions - even at night.

And soon as you are done "slicing" your way on two blades down the 727 m drop in elevation, the snowy fun keeps on going into the next round - at no extra charge during daytime hours: On the Kemahdhöhe, the price of the lift ticket is included for tobogganers with their daily or weekly ski pass (nighttime rides cost extra)! So, your sled won't rest until you decide it's time to stop in for refreshments and good times at the rustic Sport-Alm mountain lodge, or perhaps back down at one of our traditional inns in the valley.

Night-sledding every Tuesday and Friday!

After riding up on the 8-passenger gondola, the Sportalm invites you in to relax and enjoy refreshments amongst friends, old and new. Then it's time to head back down towards the valley below.
The gondola runs from 6:30 to 10pm, while sledding is possible between 6:30 and 10:30pm.
