Museum
The Lerchen Castle was first documented as early as 1289. Since 1985 the castle has been home to the city’s museum of local history. The exhibitions there present a survey of Radstadt’s history, the peasant wars, sacred art, artisanry and farming-citizenry. Tools and hand-crafted goods are displayed in several workshops. The history of the city guard and other societies are also displayed.
Additional emphasis is placed on Radstadt’s composer and organist Paul Hofheimer as well as the region’s geology.
