Night-watchman
At the guard tower next to the pond, Radstadt’s night-watchman await you in traditional garb, with halberd and lantern, singing the famous watchman’s song „Alle meine liabn Herrn und Frauen, lasst Euch sagn: ...“. He escorts the group around the wall and through the historic city, explaining Radstadt’s eventful past with tales and legends.
The tour begins at the guard tower next to the pond. Every child is lent a lantern to carry!
Itinerary:
- The old smithy at the city wall offers a short demonstration
- Kapuzinerturm: numerous items regarding farming-citizenry are exhibited. The original impressive roof structure is still preserved.
- Brass band
- New city square
- Organ music composed by Paul Hofhaimer in the parish church
- The tour concludes at the city tower with free punch and folk music
