Rossbrand: The local mountain

The summit of the Rossbrand is an absolute must on a holiday in Radstadt. Guests marvel at the panoramic view of over 150 striking alpine peaks, and the adrenaline buzz that comes with it. From the Dachstein to the Bischofsmütze, the Tennengebirge and Hagengebirge ranges, on to the Hochkönig, the Hohe Tauern group with the Großglockner and Großvenediger, and back round to the Radstädter and Schladminger Tauern massifs – the 360° sweep is truly breath-taking! The panorama info-plates around the summit cross provide information about fascinating subjects, such as how the topology and life here came about. The Rossbrand can be reached easily from the centre of town – on foot, with a mountain bike, the hiking bus or by car, and is without doubt one of the most beautiful and scenic mountains in the Eastern Alps.
